Movie Survey

#1 Has filming helped you learn more about history?
Definitely!

#2 Has filming increased your interest about social studies?

Yeah.

#3 What is the most beneficial part of filming?
I learned so much more than just taking notes, because if you are going to make a movie about something, you will need to research it to every last detail, so you will most likely learn a lot about your subject.

#4 What is the most difficult task about filming?
Probably getting everyone to focus. I know I am very controlling, but there is someone in my group that just would do nothing but fool around the whole time when we were trying to be serious.

#5 If there was one thing you would change what would it be and why?
Its really nothing about the videos, just about the class. I would probably change how everyone 30 days to complete the editting. I know not everyone has iMovie, but no one actually took it home the way I did. I mean, since 99% of PCs have Windows Movie Maker, I'm pretty sure someone could have it in each group...

#6 Was blogging helpful?explain

I really don't know. It might have been, but I honestly didn't notice a real difference, other than if I had a question about something I could ask it over the weekend and have an answer. It was a good review of the week, though.

#7 How much effort have you put in this class compared to others? Choose one>

more

#8 What is your overall grade in class?
A.

#9 Has using the computer and programs become easier after filming?
I've actually learned a lot about iMovie. I didn't use the stuff I knew in the videos, but messing around I found out a lot of cool features.

#10 Did you enjoy working in groups? explain

Yeah. I was in a group with pretty cool people, we had fun! We could be serious and creative at the same time, and I've made some new friends. haha.

#11 Additional comments about the class and film making.
I would like to say that I believe that it was awesome idea to use videos to remake history. Not only did it make it more interesting, but I find myself excited for the new chapters to see what ideas might spark.

Its pretty amazing, actually lol. When I got home after I learned what my subject was, I did a quick internet search (don't let this sentence fool you, I do not have internet, lucas hates me, and no one will answer my questions.) and found out everything I needed to know. After that, I wrote the rap in about 20 minutes. I felt pretty proud of myself afterwards, and then took it into school. Recording it was the funnest thing in the world. We had so much fun haha. To shoot it we basically acted out whatever was in the rap, and had a big dance party for the end.

I really enjoyed making this video, but I don't know if I like it more than a normal video. The easiest part of filming is probably when we have dance parties, while the hardest is most likely getting everyone to cooperate, and get Cooper to be serious in serious moments... seriously impossible to do. He was the leader, he did fine ;D

I don't know who the best leader was, because I basically led the whole time. I don't know, they trusted me, and according to my personality I like to be appreciated... and they wanted me to take control, so I sacrificed myself to fit others needs. I was just affirming my importance, and it helped me be not so self conscious. :(

The writing assignment did help a lot, actually. It gave me more of a reason to go look stuff up online than before. I don't really think that it helped more than the filming, though. Writing an assignment about one person would teach you their views only, while making a movie still puts you into character but you learn about everything as a whole, if that makes sense. lol. Plus I enjoy film making so much more. This isn't really a question from the war, but it's a question from real life... about the war. Why is it "casual" to know that the war was The British vs French with Indians, where the British faced the odds and suprislingly took them down, but the British had more Indian allies than the French? Where the French tribes larger in numbers or something? We chose the genre, and I am glad we got the subject that we did ;)

This is usually where I add a little "off topic of blog" note where I make a joke or something. But not this time! I'm switchin it up!
